Jacob Spori

Jacob Spori (1847-1903) was born 26 Mar. 1847 in Oberwil im Simmental, Bern, Switzerland. He was the son of Jakob Spori and Susanna Katharina Böhlen. He married Magdalena Roschi on 9 Oct. 1874 in Oberwil im Simmental. He was baptized 28 May 1877. He was appointed the first principal of Bannock Stake Academy in 1888 on the recommendation of Wilford Woodruff, president of the Church Board of Education. He died 27 Sep. 1903 in Montpelier, Bear Lake Co., Idaho.
