James Moses

James Moses (1806-1891) was born 28 Feb. 1806 in Norfolk, Litchfield Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Jesse Moses and Esther Brown. He married Roxy M. Terry on 9 Apr. 1833 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Connecticut; widowed. He married Eliza Spencer on 7 Oct. 1839 in Carthage, Hancock Co., Illinois. He was baptized in 1834. He frequently corresponded with Wilford Woodruff and hosted him regularly from 1843 to 1891. He died 4 Apr. 1891 in Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
