James Ritchie

12 May 1833 - 27 Feb 1902

James Ritchie (1833-1902) was born 12 May 1833 in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, Scotland. He was the son of James Ritchie and Elizabeth Anderson. He married Hannah Bright on 2 Feb. 1857; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in Feb. 1854. While serving as a Bishop, he commented on mission call responses sent by individuals under his ecclesiastical stewardship to President Wilford Woodruff between 1893 and 1898. He died on 27 Feb. 1902 in Marriot, Weber Co., Utah.
