James Sloan

James Sloan (1792-1886) was born 28 Oct. 1792 in Donaghmore, Co. Tyrone, Ireland. He was the son of Alexander Sloan and Anne. He married Mary Magill. He was baptized. He served with Wilford Woodruff in church and community positions in Nauvoo, Hancock Co. Illinois. He and his wife traveled by train to New York with Wilford Woodruff on 21 Aug. 1843. He died 24 Oct. 1886 in Sacramento, Sacramento Co., California.
