James Sullivan Clarkson
James Sullivan Clarkson (1842-1918) was born 17 May 1842 in Brookville, Franklin Co., Indiana. He was the son of Coker Fifield Clarkson and Elizabeth Goudie. He married Anna C. Howell on 26 Dec. 1867 in Marion Co., Iowa. He worked closely with Wilford Woodruff as a key advocate for Utah statehood. He died 30 May 1918 in Newark Twp., Essex Co., New Jersey.
