Jane Homes Benbow
Jane Homes (Holmes) Benbow (1792-1846) was born 12 Jan. 1792 in Ashperton, Herefordshire, England. She was the daughter of Francis Homes and Hannah Drew. She married John Benbow on 16 Oct. 1826 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. She was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 6 Mar. 1840 at Benbow Farm in Castle Frome, Herefordshire, England. She and her husband cared for Wilford's son while Wilford and Phebe served a mission in 1845 and 1846, and Wilford was by Jane's side when she died. She died 27 Nov. 1846 in Winter Quarters (later Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska).
