Jason Reed Luce (1830-1864) was born 18 Nov. 1830 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He was the son of Stephen Luce and Mary Wheeler. He married Margaret Graham about 1856. He died 12 Jan. 1864 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory; Wilford Woodruff recorded the events leading up to his death and was present when he died.
