Jeremiah Varney

1822-aft. 1868

Jeremiah Varney (Theodore Thorpe) (1822-aft. 1868) was born 16 May 1822 in China, Kennebec Co., Maine. He was the son of Nicholas Varney and Sarah Langdon. He married Caroline Matilda Wilcox before 23 May 1848; widowed before 1 Feb. 1855. He married Lydia Phelps about 1856 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He was baptized 2 Sep. 1851. He was visited by Wilford Woodruff on 12 Sep. 1859 in Great Salt Lake City. He died after 1868.
