Johanna Christiana Sophie Vulpius von Goethe (1765-1816) was born 1 Jun. 1765 in Weimar, Saxe-Weimar, Upper Saxon Circle, Holy Roman Empire. She was the daughter of Johann Friedrich Vulpius. She married Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on 19 October 1806 in Weimar, and they had five children. She died 6 Jun. 1816 in Weimar. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
