John Andrews Murrell
John Andrews Murrell (1806-1844) was born in 1806 in Lunenberg Co., Virginia. He was the son of Jeffrey Murrell and Zilpha Andrews. He married Elizabeth Mangham in Mar. 1829 in Maury Co., Tennessee. While traveling as a missionary on 27 Mar. 1835 in Tennessee, Wilford Woodruff was mistakenly thought to be a member of Murrell's criminal clan. He died 1 Nov. 1844 in Pikesville, Bledsoe Co., Tennessee.
