John Bethewel Thatcher

1834-1917
John Bethewel Thatcher (1834-1917) was born 22 Oct. 1834 in Clark Co., Ohio. He was the son of Hezekiah Thatcher and Alena Kitchen. He married Sarah Hannah Davis on 10 Mar. 1858 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in 1844. He killed a mountain lion in California in 1872, which Wilford Woodruff wrote about in his journal, and he spoke in a church meeting that Wilford Woodruff attended on 2 Dec. 1877. He died 16 Sep. 1917 in Thatcher, Bannock Co., Idaho.
