John Colby
1809-1867
John Colby (1809-1867) was born about 24 Nov. 1809 in Embden, Somerset Co., Maine. He was the son of Ambrose Colby and Anna McPhearson. He married Esther Getchell about 21 Feb. 1831 in Anson, Somerset Co., Maine. He was visited by Wilford Woodruff on 28 and 29 Jun. 1849 in Rockland, Lincoln Co., Maine. He died 19 Sep. 1867 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.
