John Tyler

John Tyler (1790-1862) was born 29 Mar. 1790 in Charles City Co., Virginia. He was the son of John Tyler and Mary Armistead. He married Letitia Christian on 29 Mar. 1813; widowed in 1842. He married Julia Gardiner on 26 Jun. 1844. He was a U.S. President. He died 18 Jan. 1862 in Richmond, Henrico Co., Virginia. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
