John Van Cott
John Van Cott (1814-1883) was born 7 Sep. 1814 in Canaan, Columbia Co., New York. He was the son of Losee Van Cott and Lovina Pratt. He married Lucy Lavinia Sackett on 15 Sep. 1835; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 16 Sep. 1843. He worked with Wilford Woodruff in Church service from 1846 to 1882. He died 18 Feb. 1883 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
