John William Benbow
John William Benbow (1831-1890) was born 16 Jul. 1831 and christened in Sedgley, Staffordshire, England. He was the son of William Benbow and Ann Bagley. He married Sara Mariah Cole on 24 Apr. 1854 in Racine Co., Wisconsin. He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 8 Mar. 1840 at Benbow Farm in Castle Frome, Herefordshire, England, and was included in Wilford's record of individuals baptized in England in 1840. He died 29 Mar. 1890 in Fort Madison, Lee Co., Iowa.
