Jonah (OT)
Jonah was the son of Amittai, and a prophet in ancient Israel. After spending three days in the belly of a fish, he repented and followed God's direction to preach to the people of Nineveh. His story was told by Jesus Christ as a foreshadowing of Jesus’ own death and resurrection. Jonah is a scriptural figure in the Old Testament referred to by Wilford Woodruff.
