Jonathan Browning

Jonathan Browning (1805-1879) was born 22 Oct. 1805 in Sumner Co., Tennessee. He was the son of Edmund Browning and Sarah Allen. He married Elizabeth Stalcup on 7 Nov. 1826 in Sumner Co.; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 10 Aug. 1840. He was ordained a Patriarch on 17 May 1873 in Ogden, Weber Co., Utah Territory; Wilford Woodruff recorded the event in his journal. He died 22 Jun. 1879 in Ogden.
