Joseph Alva West

Joseph Alva West (1851-1926) was born 12 Sep. 1851 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He was the son of Chauncey Walker West and Mary Hoagland. He married Josephine Richards on 4 Mar. 1873 in Salt Lake City; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 12 Mar. 1860. He corresponded with Wilford Woodruff often in the 1880s, and he responded to a mission assignment in 1895 when Wilford Woodruff was President of the Church. He died 17 Apr. 1926 in Ogden, Weber Co., Utah.
