Joseph Ellis Johnson

Joseph Ellis Johnson (1817-1882) was born in 1817 in Pomfret, Chautauqua Co., New York. He was the son of Ezekiel Johnson and Julia Hills. He married Harriet Snider on 25 Aug. 1840 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. He was baptized about 1833. He corresponded with Wilford Woodruff from 1859 to 1875 and hosted Wilford at his nursery in 1864. He died in 1882 in Tempe, Maricopa Co., Arizona Territory.
