Joseph W. Sylvester
Joseph W. Sylvester (1815-1862) was born 30 May 1815 in Deer Isle, Hancock Co., Maine. He was the son of Crowell H. Sylvester and Hannah Sanders. He married Martha Burgess on 26 Sep. 1837 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine; Wilford Woodruff attended the wedding. He hosted Wilford Woodruff regulary in 1838. He died 27 May 1862.
