Laura Buell Hart

Laura (Lura) Buell Hart (1796-1874) was born 18 Feb. 1796 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Connecticut. She was the daughter of William Buell and Hepsiba Latimer. She married Joseph Hart, a brother of Azuba Hart, Wilford Woodruff’s step-mother, and they had ten children. She died 31 Dec. 1874 in Johnston, Trumbull Co., Ohio. Her proxy temple ordinance work was initiated by Wilford Woodruff on 8 Nov. 1869.
