Martisha Smoot Smith

Martisha (Martisia) Smoot Smith (1812-1886) was born 28 Oct. 1812 in Henry Co., Kentucky. She was the daughter of George Washington Smoot and Nancy Ann Rowlett. She married Samuel Smith on 25 Jan. 1835 and they had six children, including Emma Smith, who was sealed to Wilford Woodruff; widowed in 1850. She and Samuel were taught by Wilford Woodruff in 1835. She was sealed to Silas Richards on 2 Dec. 1855; annulled 15 Jun. 1858. She died 3 Nov. 1883 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
