Mary Louisa Smith Cowles Ward
Mary Louisa Smith Cowles Ward (abt. 1826-1905) was born about 1826 in Connecticut. She was the adopted daughter of Richard Cowles and Fanny Deming. She married Silas Ward on 24 Sep. 1846 in New York, and they had two children. She walked with Wilford Woodruff and his mother, Azubah Hart Woodruff, and his sister, Eunice Hart Woodruff Webster, from Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut to Avon, Hartford Co., Connecticut on 5 Sep. 1843. She died 29 May 1905 in Stamford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.
