Millard Fillmore

Millard Fillmore (1800-1874) was born 7 Jan. 1800 in Summerhill, Cayuga Co., New York. He was the son of Nathaniel Fillmore and Phoebe Millard. He married Abigail Powers on 5 Feb. 1826 in Moravia, Cayuca Co., New York; widowed in 1853. He married Caroline Carmichael on 10 Feb. 1858 in Albany, Albany Co., New York. He died 8 Mar. 1874 in Buffalo, Erie Co., New York. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
