Miriam (OT)

Miriam was the sister of Moses and Aaron. She watched over Moses as a baby after their mother Jochebed put him in an ark in the river and, when the daughter of Pharaoh took Moses as her son, provided the opportunity for Jochebed to help raise him. She is a scriptural figure in the Old Testament referred to in a letter written to Wilford Woodruff.
