Moroni (BofM)
Moroni was the son of Mormon. He was the author of the Book of Moroni and the last Nephite prophet. He buried the gold plates before he died and returned as a resurrected being to deliver the plates to Joseph Smith and instruct Joseph on his role in the restoration of the gospel. He is a scriptural figure in the Book of Mormon referred to by Wilford Woodruff.
