Moses Clawson

Moses Clawson (1801-1879) was born 8 Oct. 1801 in Dryden, Cayuga Co., New York. He was the son of Ebenezar Clawson and Lola Foot. He married Cornelia Brown on 28 Aug. 1821 in Groton, Tompkins Co., New York; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 2 Mar. 1835 in Steuben Co., New York. He was called as a councilor in the presidency of the High Priest Quorum in Pottawattamie Co., Iowa on 6 Apr. 1848, and the event was recorded by Wilford Woodruff. He died 14 Jun. 1879 and was buried in Toquerville, Washington Co., Utah Territory.
