Oliver Ames Jr.

Oliver Ames Jr. (1807-1877) was born 5 Nov. 1807 in Easton, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Oliver Ames and Susanna Augier. He married Sarah L. Lathrop on 11 Jun. 1833 in Easton. As president of the Union Pacific Railroad, he met with Wilford Woodruff in Utah when the transcontinental railroad was being completed. He died 9 Mar. 1877 in Bristol.
