Peter Maughan

Peter Maughan (1811-1871) was born 7 May 1811 in Breconside, Farlam, Cumberland, England. He was the son of William Maughan and Martha Wilson. He married Ruth Harrison on 1 Oct. 1831. He was baptized in 1830. He served as bishop in Utah Territory, which brought him into regular contact with Wilford Woodruff. He died 24 Apr. 1871 in Logan, Cache Co., Utah Territory.
