Samuel Huntington

Samuel Huntington (1731-1796) was born 5 Jul. 1731 in Windham, Windham Co., Connecticut, British Colonial America. He was the son of Nathaniel Huntington and Mehetabel Thurston. He married Martha Devotion on 17 Apr. 1761 in Norwich, New London Co., Connecticut, British Colonial America. He died 5 Jan. 1796 in Norwich. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
