Sanford Porter
Sanford (Sandford) Porter (1790-1873) was born 7 Mar. 1790 in Brimfield, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Nathan Porter and Susanna West. He married Nancy Warriner on 1 Jan. 1812 in Vershire, Orange Co., Vermont; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized about 1831 in Tazewell Co., Illinois. He asked Wilford Woodruff on 7 Sep. 1847 to encourage his son, Chauncy Warriner Porter, to finish his migration west. He died 9 Feb. 1873 in Porterville, Morgan Co., Utah Territory.
