Solyman Sylvanus Merrill
Solyman (Lyman) (Solomon) Sylvanus Merrill (1840-1913) was born 12 Dec. 1840 in Illinois. He was the son of Austin Shepard Merrill and Laura Wilder Harris. He married Lucinda Jane Olmstead Shoemaker about 1863. He was wounded and his brother was killed in Smithfield, Cache Co., Utah Territory as recorded in Wilford Woodruff's journal on 27 Jul. 1860. He died 24 Mar. 1913 in Annis, Fremont Co., Idaho.
