Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) was born 13 Apr. 1734 in Shadwell, Albemarle Co., Virginia, British Colonial America. He was the son of Peter Jefferson and Jane Randolph. He married Martha Wayles on 1 Jan. 1772 in Crozier, Goochland Co., Virginia, British Colonial America. He died 4 Jul. 1826 in Monticello, Albemarle Co., Virginia. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
