Thomas McKean

Thomas McKean (1734-1817) was born 19 Mar. 1734 in New London, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, British Colonial America. He was the son of William McKean and Letita Finney. He married Mary Borden on 21 Jul. 1763 in Monmouth Co., New Jersey, British Colonial America; widowed 12 Mar. 1773. He married Sarah Armitage on 7 Sep. 1774 in New Castle Co., New Jersey, British Colonial America. He died 26 Jun. 1817 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
