Thomas Nelson

Thomas Nelson (1738-1789) was born 26 Dec. 1738 in Yorktown, York Co., Virginia, British Colonial America. He was the son of William Nelson and Elizabeth Burwell. He married Lucy Grymes on 29 Jul. 1762 in Yorktown. He died 4 Jan. 1789 in Hanover Co., Virginia. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
