Vilate Young Decker

1830-1902
Vilate Young Decker (1830-1902) was born 1 Jun. 1830 in Mendon, Monroe Co., New York. She was the daughter of Brigham Young and Miriam Works. She married Charles Decker about Feb. 1847 in Winter Quarters (later Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), and they had nine children. She was mentioned in a letter Wilford Woodruff wrote to her father on 19 Oct. 1844 from Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts. She died 18 Nov. 1902 in Lewisville, Jefferson Co., Idaho.
