William Makepeace Thackeray

William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863) was born 18 Jul. 1811 in Calcutta, Bengal, British India. He was the son of Richmond Thackeray and Anne Becher. He married Isabella Gethin Creagh Shawe on 20 Aug. 1836 in Paris, France. He died 24 Dec. 1863 in Kensington, Middlesex, England. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
