William Whipple
William Whipple (1730-1785) was born 14 Jan. 1730 in Kittery, York Co., Maine, British Colonial America. He was the son of William Whipple and Mary Cutt. He married Catherine Moffitt. He died 28 Nov. 1785 in Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
