Zachary Taylor

Zachary Taylor (1784-1850) was born 24 Nov. 1784 in Orange Co., Virginia. He was the son of Richard Taylor and Sarah Strother. He married Margaret Smith on 18 Jun. 1810 in Jefferson Co., Kentucky. He died 9 Jul. 1850 in Washington, D.C.. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
