Aug 21st on {shorthand} visited the sea shore {shorthand}
{shorthand} ^20^ saw the gallant ships under sail it was a pleasant day {shorthand}
{shorthand} we visited the East part of the Island left an
appointment for preaching at the East School house from
thence we went to the North district & preached in the
North School house Elder Hale spake upon the authenticity of
the Book of Mormon I followed him the spirit of God
rested upon us we spent the night with Mr Stephen Luce Esq
