24th The sea runs mountains high & look
like the Hills & valies of Kirtland. While pitch-
ing from the top of the mountain waves into the
troath of the sea she would ship water. I got
wet, yet I sat upon deck untill late in the
evening but though it was winter it was
not vary cold
