February 11, 1841 ~ Thursday

11th We finished our peace for the press, Elder
Lorenzo Snow arived at our lodgings this
day from Birmingham to [take] charge of the church
in London in our absence as we shall leave it in
his care, I was truly glad to once more greet Br
Snow As I have not seen him before since 1837
A folded letter/box I recived a letter from Elder Kington. Elder
Wm Pitt Also arived at our lodgings in the evening
we had an interesting evening meeting Elder
Snow preached Elder Kimball & myself followed
him we all spent the night at our logings 2 [miles]

I was truly glad to once more greet him for I had not seen him since 1837 On the same day Elder Wm Pitt also arrived at our lodgings and we had an interesting meeting in the evening. Brother Snow preached and Elder Kimball and myself followed him and the next ^day^ brothers Heber and Lorenzo went to Woolwich to give impetous to the work of God in that important town. There was great excitement at that time both in the House of Parliament and throughout England in consequence of the apprehension and imprisonment of Mr M. C. Cleod a British officer
