May 04, 1841 ~ Tuesday

4^th A clear serene Mays morning the most plesent
we have had on the voyage the water almost
perfectly smooth a calm hardly air enough to move a
sail the sounded for bottom but could not
find it we are spending the time plesently. The Capt
took the names, ages, & occupations of each passenger
in order to make out a correct entry when he arives in
port
