the business of the day A Law was passed
regulating marriage Joseph the Seer made
many interesting remarks concerning our
privilliges Council adjourned to next day

Political/Government - Notice of Fee Resignation, 17 February 1842
The Vice Mayor Assigned on his resignation Fees as councillor for the city, in favor of the city, until further Notice. Coln B. Young Assigned his Fees as Coln likewise. Willard Richards Assigned his Fees also. H. C. Kimball Assigned his Fees also. W. Woodruff Assigned his Fees also Saml H. Smith resign'd up his Fees for the past year. Coln Wilson Law resigned his claim to pay as a City Coln up to this time, in favour of the Blind Inhabitants of the 4th Ward of this city, to be equally divided amongst them.
