September 06, 1846 ~ Sunday

6th Sunday I was sick all day and did not leave
my bed untill near night. Br Joseph ^Young^ Arived in
camp & preached to day was followed by Brigham
Young
good instruction was given. Two young
men was whiped 30 blows with Hickory gads upon
the bare back by the Marshall of the city to day & one
man yesterday for bad conduct one there Names
were Daniel Barnham, Palatire Brown, & Clothier.
And Sarah Brown & Caroline Barton who had led
them into evil, needed Punishment as well as the
young men
