January 30, 1857 ~ Friday

30th I was quite unwell through the night arose sick in the morning
I went to the office the Presidency came in at about 3 oclok &
spent the afternoon & evening in hearing the History read we read
up to the organization of the Church after the twelve returned to Nauvoo
we also read a part of President Brigham Youngs History

Bro. Woodruff, Sir Bros Pender, Jones and Midgley held meetings at this place on Saturday Decb. 20th 1856 and Sunday Decb 20st [18]56, when the following principles were taught by them. Repentance, Restoration, Humillity, Confession, faithfulness, &c. They were assisted by Prest. Samuel Smith, and Bishop Price. This ward have been highly pleased and Edified under the teachings and instructions of the above brothren Yours Respectfully R G Evans
