Letter from George Teasdale, 12 March 1887
My beloved brother:
I was exceedingly pleased to
receive your favor of Feby 10th and should have
answered sooner but I have been away
visiting the Welsh Mission, where we held a
priesthood meeting and Conference, and
the Bristol Confce, holding meetings in Bris-
tol and Cheltenham. This mission is not
what it was when you was here. It is a terrible
wreck of branches and Saints are mostly of the
old members that have but little life. There are
some places where they have good ernest and
energetic Elders, they are patiently laboring, and
are baptizing few. I do not feel discouraged
because I know in whom I trust. I know His
run is not shortened. He is as powerful to
save to day as ever. I hope, by His help, to be
valiant for the testimony of Jesus, and take
every means to notify and warn the peo-
ple, seeking dilligently for the Israel of God
