August 13, 1887 ~ Saturday

13 A hand pointing to the right we Met in council at 10 oclok the state Government
was discussed and a vote was taken to Appropriate
$100,000 for the committee of three to use to carrying
out the purposes of the state I wrote a Letter to Emma
and M. W Merrill I spent the night with Br John C Cutler

My Dear Emma I have thought I would Like to spend to the Sabbath conversing with you at Brother Cottam there is company at the other place if you can put off going to meeting and spend the day with me I would Like you to Lown me your vehical to take my Journals & a few things in or Els I must buy me one I wish you would bring your vehical with you & bring my shaving tools in it I think they are in my Little Desk I will enclose in this a Letter I got Last night from Van and Clara please bring it with you as I will want to Answer it all Well as usual Except I did not sleep last night much and a little Head ake A meeting all day yesterday & to day full of business My Love to all the family Marshal after me this morning to subpenoa me to come and Pay the [$3 000 000] I have not got that
