Dear Brother:
Your kind favor if 8th inst, in
reference to the appointment of a Board
of Education, for this Stake of Zion &c. came
to hand today and will receive our
prompt attention.
I rejoice exceedingly to know that
this worthy and far-reaching subject
is engaging the attention of the authorities
and leaders of this people, and we are
pleased also to know that our far-off
and newly organized Stake is numbered
with those, receiving this timely con-
sideration, and any suggestions or as-
sistance you may feel disposed to offer
in regard to this Educational Sistem
will be gladly looked for, and placed
in opperation as near as possible.
Our people, in this Stake, as a rule, are
in quite close circumstances, owing
probably to the frequent failures of the
