Dear Bro on or about the
first of Feb last Bro Henry
Yates of this place received
a Letter from you stating
that he was requested to
fill a mission to the northren
States he answered it and said
he would be ready to go and
i signed it. now upon maturer
reflection he feels that he
is hardly fit to fill a mission
where their is so much traveling
to be done he is 63 years of
age on the 4 of this month
and is troubled with ruemat
isms every year and is in poor
health now. he is a poor man
having only 1 team and wagon
